Cette semaine facebook lance « facebook places », le service de géolocalisation du réseau social.
Concrètement, ceci veut dire que chacun d’entre-nous pourra, par le biais de son téléphone portable, ordinateur, netbook, tablette, ebook, lunettes du futur, micro puce sous la peau ou autre technologie, indiquer son positionnement à ses amis, qui eux-mêmes pourront indiquer en retour où ils sont. On pourra aussi taguer ses amis dans des endroits, et bien entendu aucune confirmation ne sera demandée, la personne pourra juste ensuite se détaguer (comme sur les photos).
Inquiétant ou simple avancée technologique ? La CNIL en tout cas demande aux utilisateurs d’être méfiants sur ces services de géolocalisation.
Est-ce vraiment nécessaire de savoir ce que chacun de ses amis fait, toute la journée ?
Coca-cola a lancé un essai par un système de tagging par un bracelet dans un camp de vacance pour ados. Ils peuvent donc, simplement en activant le bracelet, « liker » l’endroit où ils sont.

Mais ce truc là : Facebook Place, ça existe déjà, non ? J’ai oublié comment ça s’appelle, mais je me souviens que quand c’est sorti, on en avait pas mal parlé.
Je vais essayer de retrouver le programme en question, mais je suis certaine que Facebook n’invente rien.

Foursquare c’est le nom du programme déja existant (Sur android, Iphone… )! Il fait déja un carton aux Etats-Unis!Ou par exemple en devenant le « Mayor » (c’est a dire en ce taguant le plus de fois dans un endroit) d’un magasin on peut obtenir des réductions sur certains produits, même méthodes dans certains bars…
Facebook a tenté de le racheter mais le prix était en deça des attentes des créateurs de Foursquare donc ils ont tout simplement crée leur propre logiciel…
Apparemment il y aurait quand même eu des échanges d’ordres économique entre les deux sociétés pour que facebook exploite cette technologie…
Ca marche beaucoup moins en France mais je pense que dès que le programme sera utilisé via Facebook ça va ce développer énormément!!

Ils ont publié une vidéo sur la sécurité de ce Places. Inscrivez-vous au fan-groupe nommé « Facebook » pour ce genre de publications.
Sur la vidéo ils disent qu’on recevra un message et qu’on pourra confirmer ou non, comme on le fait pour les demandes d’amis; contrairement à ce qui est écrit dans le SB.

Moi perso j’ai bien désactivé le machin, et j’ai aussi désactivé l’option dans la rubrique « ce que vos amis partagent » ou un truc du genre.
Comme je ne bouge pas de chez moi, ça ne me sert à rien et même si je bougeais, pas envie qu’on utilise ça !

La première fois facebook demande confirmation pour l’utilisation de Places (protection de vie privée) en cas de refus, cela fonctionne comme le tagging dans les statuts, sinon on est considéré géolocalisé avec la personne : « When your friends check you in, it is as if you have checked in at that place yourself. You also will appear checked-in to your friends. If you do not allow friends to check you in, then when they tag you at a place, your name will appear in the same way it appears in a tagged status update. You will not appear checked-in at that place. »

Je suis l’auteur de l’image qui apparaît sur la stupidbook, néanmoins je n’ai pas rédigé le texte qui l’accompagne (la suggestion que j’avais faite n’a pas été retenue apparemment), donc je suis désolé mais je ne peux pas fournir les sources, a vrai dire j’étais même pas au courant de cette fonction =/.

En revanche j’aime beaucoup ce qu’a fait stupidbook en rapport avec mon image, je n’aurais certainement pas fait mieux, à vrai dire je ne pensais même pas qu’elle allait passer, ça fait quelques semaines que j’avais envoyé la stupidbook, donc la surprise fut totale.
